Whispers in the dark

When the wind crawls up your hair,
Aloof are my senses,
Lost in the air,
But breathless I muttered,
Loose-tongued I uttered,
Immortal is my care.

The corner of my eye has a glimpse of you,
Flicker of your hair catches my view,
Uncertain gaze with which you respond,
Thuds a beat, bridges the unspoken bond.

Smoke in the chimney high,
Distorting the blue sky,
Catches my attention every time,
Blurs my vision all the time,
It kills me to see,
Without you what my life would be.

Your teardrops wash my faith,
My divinity is broken,
In atheism I bathe,
Not because He hurt you,
Not because His greatness is feigned,
But because phenomenal is His puzzle of life, that,
Your searching sunken eyes still find me to disdain.

Immense pleasure that I see in your eyes,
Elated I am and eager to find,
The obvious joy  that you pretend to hide,
Is not for me but some other eyes.

Strolling across beach sand,
Searching for footprints you left behind,
But the breeze blows across in time,
Churns the wisdom for once in my mind,
Suddenly I begin to see,
Perception is but a commodity to perish,
Footprints is what all along I chased for,
When love in your eyes is all that I wish…

Oscillating importance that you label me,
Like a wooden raft alone in the sea,
But with due conviction I believe,
My sunken sails would catch the wind,
Lapping waves would bring me ashore,
Shipwrecked, solemn I will stand for you,
Just fearing that would you then care to recognize me anymore…
